KDP copyright issues should therefore identify the precise material challenged and distinguish original creation, a valid license, permission from a right holder and public-domain claims under the relevant law.

Prepare a book-by-book chain of rights

Preserve manuscript drafts, dated source files, license terms, contracts with designers and contributors, written permissions, publication records and Amazon notices identifying affected titles. Where an appeal concerns multiple books, map the evidence separately to each title. An unsupported statement that content is original cannot replace documentation of third-party material.
